For one thing, I don't think we can use any F1 pictures that have copyright on them (i.e. pretty much all of them)... or either Richard or Alex should be so kind as to give us permission

I was thinking about having a shirt with a picture of a well-known moment in F1 (preferably controversial) with the "what's goin' on, eh?" text balloon above it.

I don't have a problem supplying photos-but you'd probably be better off with Alex's shots as they will have a greater resolution as I was only using a 'Bridge' camera at the time and not an SLR.

But mine and Alex's photos will be copyrighted anyway-as we took photos at Silverstone, and any photo taken there immediately becomes property of Silverstone/FOM...doesn't stop me putting my own copyright on the photo though!

I think even more technically you need permission of the team/driver to use their image on a product.......even though we aren't selling the shirts to make profit.

I suppose we could re-enact that in some game, edit a screenshot to make it look (even more) cartoon-like. That would eliminate any rights problem wouldn't it?

Probably not because the game might claim copyright as well...having said that how would they ever know!?

I'll look for the old archives "Drawings and Artwork" thread for whomever was making those great drawings of old Ferarris. (Or does anyone know a good artist?)

You guys are on the ball. I kept putting off doing a search and I'm glad you remembered.

I'm all for this idea also. Does someone know Klem well enough to ask him and discuss the details?

One additional thing, I'd rather not have the text actually read "WTF". Can we find something a bit more family friendly than that? Obviously, it's pretty mild, but most kids 10+ know what it means.
I could live with it, but I'm just asking...

My suggestion is to put the web address on the back of the shirt. It would look cooler, but I'm not sure if that would add too much cost.
