I'll be co-driving in a rally on saturday until late at night, so the later on sunday, the better. 14h CET would be quite okay.

A real one, but it's an event for beginners, it's not like we'll be driving a Subaru or anything like that :P

I've been having serious understeer problem with the new physics, dunno what's causing them so far. :(

Anyway, F1 -1 again for me if possible, F1 +3 would be okay too.

So, Spa it is!
Not that I'm fast though. To cure the huge understeer a bit I've been running some wing but I haven't found the right balance yet. 3:22 so far on my first and only "flyer"...

I had a mediocre race, got up to 2nd after start but then messed up in Blanchimont. And spun in Burnenville on 2nd lap. And hit Craig on penultimate lap. Other than that, I'm fairly satisfied with my driving :?

Well, didn't get much practice to set up the car before hand. Also with no basis for comparison, I didn't know if I was fast enough on not. Not quite. Maybe the Matra has inherent drag that can't be dialed out. I was pretty much maxed out, and handling well through the corners, while only using slightly more than neutral wing. Seems like Urban got it figured out! You were really fast man! Maw and Howard were also slightly quicker than me. I drove a steady race and was lucky to come home in second, after others had misfortune.

Race Stats

We had a few good battles, but we were hoping we'd have a few more racers. Especially those eager to try the 1969mod part 2 online. Anyway, if you are unable to race because of the time, please specify a time (or time range) in the race threads the week before an event. We will try and race at the time where the majority are available.

4 weeks until the next round, this time at the green hell!

Arh, I was feeling really exhausted and needed to sleep. If I woke up earlier and drove with my eyes half shut, I'd be a menace for everybody :P We had a great rally yesterday, but a puncture cost us several minutes and we ended 26th out of 51 crews. Besides that we'd have a good enough pace to finish in the top 3. Ack. Next time, maybe.

Hopefully I'll be there for Ze Ring! F1-1 shouldn't be too bad for me, as long as I don't go out the previous saturday :P

I am a poop.

I really really wanted to race today, but I hadn't noticed we would start at 13:00... Of course we've been racing at 'Maw time' before, but this time I thought no one had a problem with F1 time... :?

I was quite confident I could have a good race (I might have had Craig to race with :P) but I stuffed it again. But I'll try to make it for the Ring, even though I'll crash out loads! :D

I'm really sorry about the time guys... Maybe F1+3 would work better then?

I had a fun race, a bad start got me down to 2nd and was soon pased down to third, and had to work from there. The Brabham Bt26 has a lot of drag so it was rather slow on the straits, so I had to back down a couple of times. Fun to race and I am looking forward to the next race! :D

Same story as always for me - practically unpractised, not up to speed. I was running 1 degree of wing to cure the understeer. That handeled much better but it probably was the wrong choice.
It gave me that little edge at the start though, so I could get ahead of Nishi. But it didn't take him too long to get back past and after that it was a pretty lonely race. Made a few mistakes without damage, but then I crashed at Eau Rouge and didn't really see the point in continueing. First few laps were fun though!

It was fun to lead for a couple of laps :D but I knew it was only a matter of time until Urban overtook. He then eased away at a rate of about 3 seconds a lap.
I was set for second place until I hit Craig at Malmedy on lap 7, I was too impatient to get past knowing Nishi was only a few seconds behind - though it didn't make any difference in the end because the engine let go soon after.
Anyway, I reckon this part 2 mod is really good, and I hope we get a better turnout at the next race.
