Hey everyone.

Over the holidays I'm planing to upgrade the forum to phpBB3. I'll post more when I decide on a date.

I say good idea. Looks like there are some nice board styles too :)

And if it includes those security codes on registration that stop SpamBots then great!

Will we have to re-register like the last time or will all our details and avatars be simply moved to this new system?

That should be cool. I don't think we will be needing to register again, because I've seen a similar changeover which did not require me to do that. However Farz can surely illuminate us on this :)

i don't know for sure, but i imagine he'd choose to have us register again, since the database is pretty big and there's a lot of spam accounts that would otherwise be transferred

I'll be moving all users and posts over. I've already cleaned out all the spam users so it should be ok. I'll do it in the next couple of days but I'll post a heads up before I do so. Also the URL will change so make sure you check the front page or one of my blogs.
