So... Hirvonen won the Swedish rally, while Loeb was second and Latvala third. Grönholm also drove rather well for a pensioner. Just saw an interview with Kimi, you wouldn't believe him the same guy who drove in F1, he was laughing and smiling and telling jokes. Clearly he enjoys rallying much more than F1, even though he's still just learning it.

That's because WRC lets Kimi drink then drive ;).

The sad thing is - that's the happiest I've ever seen him - WDC included :?

There's a reason why Kimi is smiling.

They originally wanted him to dress like them.

5th for Kimi, not bad at all. He seems to be much happier in WRC :)

Kankkunen set for Finland return

By David Evans Wednesday, June 16th 2010, 11:23 GMT

Four-time World Rally champion Juha Kankkunen is expected to contest this year's Rally Finland - 31 years after he first competed on his home round of the World Rally Championship.

The 51-year-old denied his deal to drive a Ford Focus RS WRC was completed, but said he was interested in competing on the July 29-31 event - and possibly more rounds of the series later in the season.

Do it!

^He is doing it.

Finnish media is reporting that Juha will return with this years Focus WRC, built by M-Sport. He'll also do two days of testing before the event, so he's at least semi serious.

Quick translation: "Can't really drive for fun anyway. It is always so, that you'll go as fast as you can, when you put a helmet on. But I can't really compete for victory. If I should win this one, other drivers might just as well start new careers as milk van drivers."

Kimi enters own team:

ICE 1 Racing. Wonder what the livery will be like. He must really be enjoying rallying to go for this kind of thing.

The problem with the Mini is that they used their Countryman "SUV" as the basis for their car. The Countryman is totally ridiculous and an affront to everything Mini stands for.

Latvala drove the last 6kms of the "El Condor" SS with an average speed of 196,2kph. Pretty amazing.

The "Grand Prix of Gravel Roads" has once again proved to be too tough for some...

Just noticed that Philippe Bugalski, winner of two WRC events in 1999 for Citroën, died last week aged 49.

RIP
