Eduuuuu!

Everything's fine here, at some point the forum seemed to be at a total standstill, but things have picked up a bit since then. A couple of members from the old times have come back to check on FMB, some have even stuck around.

FMBL seems dead and buried though.

Howdy.

Reversing the Honda onto the racing line at Masta? Good times. :D

It's a shame that we don't have any online racing anymore. Without Edu, Az, and Didier, I might have won a race. :P

I still have my wheel+pedals here, though haven't fired up GPL in several months...

The last time I raced online might have been with you, Maw. Even that was probably 2 years ago! We should really commit to a date to just do some short fun races. I'm sure some of us would be avaliable if we did it straight after a GP.

Ah that reminds me, I see Az regularly at Brands - I must remind him of FMB!

We could do it before a GP, record it, then send it to Bernie to show that instead.

It would be a complete crashfest. Bernie could just show an IRL race instead.

Man I haven't played GPL in... 5 or 6 years? Something around that. And haven't touched my wheel in months. It sucks to be a grownup :|

Real life has kept me busy enough lately, so I ended up cutting down on old habits. Plus, F1 and motorsports in general these days are way too artificial and corporate for my liking, and to be honest, they no longer interest me as they used to.

But that doesn't mean I forgot the good old FMB. I'd be up for a GPL fun race someday! But without any hard-to-install mods, just plain old '67 goodness. Does VROC and stuff still work?

true dat
I have actually retired my wheel to the attic, so even if I did have GPL still installed somewhere, I couldn't play it anyway.....

you people do realise the GPL glory days were 9 YEARS ago?

I never played GPL...but I remember joining this forum before it became all phpBB...and that must have been a year before the changeover...Jeez, where has 10 years gone?!

I still have GPL installed on my laptop, but it won't work properly - despite trying different solutions I found, at some point the game will slow to a crawl, rendering it completely unplayable for some time - only for the slowdown to automatically disappear after a short while.

As soon as I can get that fixed, I'd love to give it a go again :)

Tried that, didn't work. Neither did any of the other suggestions I found on different forums. Oh well.

Thanks for helping though :)
