Farzad's F1 Gallery Message Board

Hey all,

Just throwing an idea out there for you to ponder. As the new F1 season is getting underway, interest in this board will hopefully come back. In order to retain and build on that interest, why not have a "design a Farzads Gallery shirt" competition type dealie. People could enter their own designs, we can vote one which one(s) we like best, and the winner gets his design printed on X number of shirts.
It'll help tie people to the board, and help find each other whenever there's a meeting of members somewhere...

Also, the profit made from these shirts can go to paying for the hosting or something....

I've seen this idea take off on another site and it was a great success... also probably because the shirts are dirt cheap to make : 16 $/shirt (any size)+free shipping in the US... and a tiny bit more for the rest of the world

I'm all for this idea, and am willing to help out with the printing, etc, but first I need to guage people's interest in this...

Do we have any graphic designers on this board that could come up with a really cool one?
Are you thinking full graphics or just a monocolor slogan (like: Farzad Keeps Me Posted @ http://www.farzadsf1gallery.com)?

the prices I quoted were for 2 or 3 colour shirts, but basically, whatever people come up with is fine by me.

I'm sure we have a few people among us who could design something interesting... slogans are fine too...

Good idea, I think I'd buy one.

I think we should do it like an F1 team T-shirt with sponsors on the sleeves and back etc, only we get members websites or something on it. Patronise could be the main sponsor or something...

A slogan like Waldorf's would be good I think - but keep it stylish. I hate shirts full of sponsors and names and sayings and and and...

Then all we'd need was a meeting :wink:

Hows about "Become an F1 Legend-Join Farzads Message Board" (referring to the "ranks").

With a picture of Senna/Prost/Schumacher with a big red cross over it, and another picture simply saying 'Your Face Here' or something next to it.

Or-"The only place you can speak to Max Mosley-Farzads F1 Gallery"

I would definitely be down but with a few stipulations:

1) Shirt should be humorous. Internet humour is cool.

2) Shirt must be tasteful. There are enough gaudy F1 shirts out there.

But, as funny as he was, there's no point in T-shirts that reference only some inside joke. Plus we really should try to avoid making fun of one obviously disturbed individual.
