Urban Alsenmyr wins the FMBL5 title! |
|
|
It
was already clear before the last round of the season at Interlagos, but
Urban Alsenmyr took the title in style by winning the Brazilian round
as well. In total points he actually ties with Matra's Nishi Perera, but
since only the best 8 scores count, it's Urban who takes the crown. Having
only entered the championship at Brands Hatch (race 4), Urban took FMBL5
by storm, winning all remaining races - a 100% score. Third place in the
final standings goes to BRM's Howard Gregory after a great run which,
unfortunately, was not (yet?) rewarded with a race win.
Now as we
finish the 5th season of FMB Legends, it's time for a break and to consider
our options for the future. Thanks everyone for yet more hard and good-spirited
racing, and see you in the next season....?

FMB Legends goes into its 5th season of racing |
|
|
FMB
Legends is a very competitive, yet casual league for drivers from all
over the world. Our prime objective is to have fun, from the frontrunners
to the backmarkers - there's always someone to race. The age of GPL
hasn't exactly ensured a growing starting grid, but it does provide
us with a game that nearly everyone knows and everyone is capable of
running. We're always open for new drivers!
The 5th
season FMBL again sees many changes to the technical rulebook. The 1,5
litre engined '65 cars have been replaced by the much more powerful
'69 cars, for the first time bringing aerodynamics into play. The calendar
has been reduced to 10 races, organised in such a way that the races
won't clash with a Formula 1 race or any other major race.
